About

This uplifting and cinematic short film follows 6 young adults from 3 different Laureus projects around the world who have won a chance in a lifetime to take part in an unprecedented sporting event in South Africa. The Laureus Grand Prix is a go-karting event in Johannesburg organised specially for the youngsters by sporting charity Laureus hosted by Olympic Gold Medalist and Athletics World Champion Ed Moses and Formula 1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton. Firecracker produced a 5 minute edit and a longer extended version documenting the event plus also a short 30″ commercial advertising for more local heros to take part in the next challenge.

We were very proud to receive a highly commended award at the 2010 IVCA Clarion Awards for the films.
