Daredevils
We took the Daredevils graphic package down a high-end filmic route – based on the moment before a Daredevil takes the plunge; those last few seconds when everything is quiet, when time stands still, when the Daredevil is alone with the elements.
The tension builds through the sequence cutting from underwater close-ups of bubbles, water turning into ice crystals and crumbling rocks – juxtaposed with close-ups of human details such as individual hairs, an eye ball and a hand hovering in the air. By using wider shots of our daredevils alone and in their thoughts we tried to make every shot draw the viewer in and reveal some small part of the story which lies ahead in the films.
The music, very much a contemporary film score in feel – uses lots of sound design to reflect the fast, flash framing, speed ramping and focus pulling.
