Jes joined Firecracker as Head of Programmes in 2008 and was promoted to Chief Creative Officer with overall, creative and commercial responsibility for the business in 2015.

Jes is one of the most respected and experienced creative leaders in unscripted television. He has overseen the development and production of some of the highest rating and most talked about documentaries and popular factual formats of the last decade including amongst many others the record breaking, international smash hit Big Fat Gypsy Weddings, the multi award winning Emma Willis: Delivering Babies, recent hot pick format Open House: The Great Sex Experiment and Jamie: Drag Queen At Sixteen – the BBC3 documentary which inspired the hit West End musical and now movie, Everybody’s Talking About Jamie.

Other notable successes have included The Sex Clinic, Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over, The Social Media Murders, Litvinenko: The Mayfair Poisonings, Susan Boyle: Unlikely Superstar and the much talked about Mums Make Porn.

In a world of disposable viewing Jes aims to make programmes that stand out from the crowd and which audiences will remember for years.
