Emma Willis: Delivering Babies and Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over both recommissioned by UKTV

W has returned to Firecracker’s Emma Willis: Delivering Babies and Stacey Dooley Sleeps Overthe channel's two best-performing shows of last year.

The channel has ordered a 4 x 60-minute third series of Emma Willis: Delivering Babies in 2020, which will explore the challenge of having a baby in the midst of a pandemic.

Firecracker is midway through shooting the award-winning format, which will follow families in the run-up to their births and their return home. The families involved will shoot the births themselves with Willis, who is a fully qualified maternity care assistant, on hand to offer support.

The last run reeled in a high of 550,000 (4%) to become the channel’s biggest show of 2019.

It was closely followed by Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over (480,000/3.2%), which returns for a second, six-part outing.

Shooting is under way, with Dooley again spending 72 hours as a guest in a number of unusual households.

Off the back of Emma Willis: Delivering Babies winning Best Popular Factual Programme at the Broadcast Digital Awards last year, both shows have been nominated in the same category this year
