Firecracker Scotland to investigate Loch Lomond murder for BBC

The 6 x 30-minute Limbs in the Loch: Catching a Killer from Firecracker Scotland will revisit the murder of 18-year-old Barry Wallace, whose limbs were found in the loch by police divers on a routine training exercise. Eight days later a bag containing his head washed up 60 miles away in Ayrshire.

The doc follows the shocking investigation as police closed in on prime suspect William Beggs. It includes interviews with police, victims and others close to the case to examine how a dangerous individual was allowed to remain at large.

The series director is John MacLaverty and the producer is Lesley Shields. Firecracker Films’ creative director Sam Emmery is the executive producer and Emily Ricketts is the production executive. The BBC commissioning executive is Tony Nellany.

The series will be distributed by Passion Distribution.
