Dr Christian is returning to W.
After two successful seasons of Dr Christian Will See You Now, the UKTV owned and operated channel has given the greenlight to new series 12 Hours To Cure Your Street.
12 Hours To Cure Your Street follows Dr Christian as he travels across the UK in a fully functional mobile clinic to treat individuals in their hometowns. He will be racing against the clock as he attempts to do as many house calls and appointments as he can within a 12-hour shift.
Dr Christian will be accompanied by Dr Sara Kayat (GPs Behind Closed Doors, Celebrity Island), both of who are unaware of what symptoms and conditions their patients will have until they open the front door. “A home environment can give many clues to the root causes of various issues and I hope to uncover, illuminate, and diagnose wherever possible”, Dr Christian said. “I’m excited to be working with the talented Dr Sara Kayat and look forward to getting on the road, rolling up my sleeves, and treating new patients across the nation.”
Dr Christian: 12 Hours To Cure Your Street was commissioned for UKTV by Commissioning Editor Helen Nightingale and ordered by Director of Commissioning Richard Watsham and General Manager for Comedy and Entertainment Steve North. “It’s great to be working with Dr Christian and Firecracker on this brand-new series”, Nightingale said. “We are particularly excited to be taking Dr Christian out of his clinic and on the road, where he will demonstrate all the brilliant skills we know him for, but in a new and very challenging environment.” It is being produced by Firecracker Films, with Joe Ward serving as the series producer. The executive producers are Federico Ruiz and Jes Wilkins. The series is set to air on W later this year.
