Sam Emmery

Creative Director

Sam rejoined Firecracker in 2022 from BBC Studios, taking up the Creative Director role in the London office where he is across a broad slate of projects in production and development.

His previous Executive Producer credits for Firecracker include the multi award-winning Emma Willis: Delivering Babies (W), E4’s returning format The Sex Clinic, Channel 4’s The Secret Life of the Human Pups and The Brit Who Tried to Kill Trump for BBC3.

At BBC Studios, Sam’s Executive Producer credits include the BAFTA nominated Grenfell: The Untold Story (Channel 4) and the Grierson nominated Fight the Power: How Hip Hop Changed the World (BBC2).

Prior to working as an Executive Producer, Sam produced and directed numerous documentaries for Firecracker, including the BAFTA nominated first series of Big Fat Gypsy Weddings (Channel 4) and the ground-breaking Diaries of a Broken Mind (BBC3), a feature length documentary about mental health that won the prestigious Mind Media Award. Sam also directed the acclaimed BBC2 series Protecting our Foster Kids.
