Social campaign capturing Champions League super fan reactions live.

The Brief

The UEFA Champions League is the pinnacle of club football. Official sponsor Sony wanted to tap into the excitement surrounding every game by giving fans a unique social experience that had Sony Xperia mobile technology at the heart of it.

The Work

We cast across Europe to find the most passionate armchair fans and filmed them, using Xperia phones, watching their teams' matches. There were celebrations, tears – there were even dancing pizza slices!

We streamed multiple video feeds from a number of signal-boosted locations back to our newsroom in London, where we clipped up and published assets to Sony Xperia's social media platforms instantly. After each match, we edited the best moments into a 30" cut which we posted on Youtube for catch up viewing the next morning.
